It’s officially December! Which means what? Christmas is literally around the corner. My question is: What are you doing to get into the festive spirit?

Last Christmas was a weird one for many reasons, for starters, some of us didn’t have our usual Christmas gatherings where the cousins, uncles, aunties, and other extended family members would come over due to PM announcing up to three households will be able to meet up also a lot of Christmas events and activities were closed or postponed.

Here are a few festive activities, you and your family could do:

  1. Christmas decorations

If you haven’t already set up your Christmas garland and tree. What are you waiting for? Take out that Christmas tree out from the garage or basement and don’t forget the Christmas lights, baubles, and wreath. By having your home decorated, you set the mood and tone for the festive spirit not only for yourself but for others who enter your home.

2. Have a film night

This activity is for those, that just want to put their feet up, sip on some hot chocolate and not have to step outside want to watch some Festive movies on Netflix.

List of a few famous Christmas movies:

– Elf

– Jack frost

– The Princess Switch

– Christmas Chronicles

– Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey

– A Family Reunion Christmas

And many more…

Outdoor Activities to look out for:

3. Christmas lights at Night

For those who can’t stay at home any longer and wants to just go outside explore London at night especially at this time. All the Christmassy shop window displays, sparkling fairy lights and famous landmarks lit up come nightfall. Some key sights you need to visit are Regent Street Christmas light, Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus, Big Ben, Marble Arch, The London Eye and Tower Bridge.

4. Winter Wonderland

We can’t talk about festive activities without mentioning Winter Wonderland! Winter Wonderland is a huge funfair and festival in Hyde Park. Featuring a huge selection of festive entertainment and activities, from ice skating and circus shows to a Christmas market and live music, there are enough fun things to do to fill a whole day and evening.
