Jade Simmone Bacon
Head of Year , Cuckoo Hall Academy Trust
Mentor (2019-2020)

I am so excited to be part of the mentor team and to share with young ladies what I was lucky enough to have when I was younger!

I started my career in a completely different field, one which I loved and still have fond memories of but I was lucky enough to have that person I could speak to, who asked me all the right questions in order for me to realise my dreams and follow the direction into school leadership.

I am aware of the challenges and the thrills of such a journey and the confusions of whether or not you are on the right journey for you.

I have never been ashamed to accept help or advice from people and as a result always embrace opportunities to help others.

As a wife, mother, daughter and friend I have always found that maintaining these successful relationships is the most important thing to me and have never let my career come in the way. Yes, there have been times when it has been hard but without these people around me and a good mentor, I know I would not be where I am today.

Not only do I bring myself to the BelEve table but I surround myself with likeminded positive people and have always got someone to offer advice if I don’t have the answer.
