Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Summer Youth Facilitators to join our team for the summer period. The successful candidates will be responsible for delivering engaging and impactful workshops and activities to young participants. This role requires individuals who are passionate about youth development and can create a supportive and inspiring environment. 

In this role, you will create fun, engaging, and supportive environments where young people can learn, grow, and thrive. If you have a passion for youth development and enjoy working in a vibrant, community-focused setting, we want to hear from you! 

Candidate Requirements

  • Experience working with young people in a facilitation or mentoring role. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire youth. 
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks. 
  • A genuine passion for youth development and empowerment. 
  • Knowledge of safeguarding practices and experience with Enhanced DBS Checks (or willingness to obtain one). 
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. 
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of the program and participants. 

Role & Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and deliver workshops, activities, and events for young participants. 
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging environment that encourages participation and personal growth. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with participants, providing mentorship and support. 
  • Collaborate with other facilitators and staff to ensure the smooth running of the programme. 
  • Monitor and evaluate participant progress, providing feedback and making recommendations for improvements. 
  • Ensure all activities comply with relevant policies, including safeguarding and health and safety regulations. 
  • Assist in the setup and cleanup of programme spaces and materials. 
  • Contribute positively and constructively to the development of the team, the service and the Charity. This will include:  
  1. Covering for other members of the team as necessary.
  2. Following and implementing BelEve’s policies, procedures and performance expectations in all functions of the post. 
  3. Undertaking, as required, any other duties compatible with the level and nature of the post and/or reasonably required by the line manager.
