We are looking for experienced Youth Work Facilitators to join our expanding team based in South London.

We are looking for Youth Work Facilitator who are professional, enthusiastic, creative, with a proven ability to build inspiring and respectful relationships with young people.

The Youth work facilitator will assist in the delivery of workshops within schools and online, delivering an innovative, high-quality range of activities and support to young girls’

The Youth Work Facilitator’s team are at the forefront of BelEve’s delivery model.
An innovative team, passionate about developing and delivering workshops to girls and young women online and face to face.
You will contribute to making a difference to girls and young women’s lives, developing young leaders who support each other in solving key issues collectively.

    Salary: £12-15 per hour

    Contract term: (Part-time) 14 hours a week

    Responsible to: Fundraising Trustee & CEO

    Overview of role

    Working closely with the Lead facilitator to deliver BelEve's flagship workshops.

    About BelEve

    BelEve is a girl-focused charity that supports and empowers disaffected girls and young women to be the leaders of their world.BelEve’s goal is to inspire the next generation of female leaders to be of service to their community.

    Youth Work Facilitator key responsibilities:

    ● Establishing positive relationships with all young people supporting and enabling them to increase their confidence and realise their potential, fully integrating them into all project activities.

    ● Coordinating resources and developing opportunities and activities for young people which reflects their needs and circumstances.

    ● Facilitating the active involvement of the young people in the planning and development of the project programme.

    ● Facilitating the positive integration of young people with disabilities, behavioural difficulties and/or special needs within the project.

    ●Mentoring young people by supporting positive behaviours, delivering life-skills sessions and workshops.

    ● Assisting young people in identifying progression opportunities and providing on-going transition support for those moving into college, employment, apprenticeships, or further learning

    ● Safeguard the good name and values of the Charity; declare any conflict of interest while carrying out your duties

    ● Undertake any other reasonable duties as may be required

    Person Specification

    ● Experience of working effectively with people in a range of organisations e.g. Youth groups, local authority, including building and maintaining good relationships

    ● Discretion and judgement, and experience of dealing with sensitive information.

    ● Experience of practical youth work with young people

    ● A commitment to the vision, mission and core principles of BelEve UK

    ● An empathetic approach and awareness of the role of the youth sector and challenges that girls and young women are facing, particularly those from disadvantaged communities

    ● A good understanding of the social, economic and political context in which BelEve UK works

    ● The ability and willingness to represent the charity at internal and external events and functions

    ● The confidence and ability to provide support to the management team


    ● Knowledge of general fundraising

    ● General knowledge of communications strategies and tactics

    ● Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office


    The post is currently remote though some travel to the London office may be required.
