Mentor since 2020
I built my 15 year career in the Events industry working on big festivals and shows, ranging from weekend-long dance events to global design conferences. When it comes to career choice, I couldn’t have been happier to have chosen Events as they are so varied and creative. I worked as Director of Events and Operations at the London Design Festival and was a Portfolio Events Director at Upper Street Events, one of the biggest events business in the UK.
My role has taught me how to run events (budgeting, marketing, sales, sponsorship and programming) alongside how to manage large teams and work with people. I have also had the opportunity to be a mentor, panel speaker and university lecturer. Even though I had a senior role in some of the most reputable companies in the UK, I have not forgotten how challenging it has been to get started and so I have a lot of empathy with those at the beginning of their career.
In my spear time I love surfing and take any opportunity to be by the sea on my surfboard. I love reading, watching documentaries and have a real soft-spot for podcasts, weather they’re for personal growth or pure entertainment. Lastly, I’m currently having much fun beating my kids at football whilst I still can…they’re 7 and 8!
