BelEve In Her Success

mentoring programme

BelEve in Her Success mentoring programme, now in its 6th year, connects young women ages 16-22 to female role models, empowering and equipping mentees with skills and knowledge.

about mentoring

with Beleve

Our Mentoring programme strives to assist girls and young women in developing a strong bond with their Mentor, boosting their self-assurance and communication abilities, discovering various professions and what interests them, and feeling capable of establishing practical objectives related to education, new opportunities, and career development, and acquiring networking skills, forming new relationships, and feeling like they belong to a community that listens and appreciates them.

We are looking for individuals who are willing to share their own personal career journeys and experiences, and who can help our beneficiaries to identify their own interests, capabilities, and training needs.

BelEve will provide the following training and support:

  • Training focused on core skills, safeguarding, and role specifics
  • Supervision to ensure that your skills have the maximum impact
  • An open-door policy with the invitation to visit us at our office at any time
  • Invitations to BelEve social events so all volunteers have the chance to meet and share experiences
  • Opportunities to support BelEve in other ways such as participation in fundraising events

Commitment level

This is a 6-9 month mentoring programme and we ask that our volunteer Mentors are ideally able to volunteer once a month for 90 minutes.

There is flexibility between weekend and weekday mentoring sessions.

A DBS will be required to undertake this role.

"BelEve UK ran a very successful and well attended series of workshops for us in 2017, helping our young ladies gain insights and skills into greater self-belief and forward planning. The feedback was very positive and we intend repetition in due course."
