BEAM (Beautiful Empowered And Me) is BelEve UK’s flagship program for girls aged 8-11. This interactive program empowers and inspires girls through new experiences, promoting well-being, leadership, and change-making skills.
BEAM supports transitions and helps girls unlock their full potential and voice.
Core Principles
Inspiring Change:
Providing girls the space to understand positive change and developing the capabilities to manage change effectively. The girls are given the tools to transition through change successfully, whilst making good choices.
Developing Potential
We are committed to recognising the potential in all girls and support them to be the best that they can be.
Taking Responsibility
Being accountable for your words and deeds, and taking responsibility for your choices and consequences.
Creating Communication:
Learning to speak honestly, acknowledging your feelings, your hopes, fears and needs. It is about expressing yourself to others in a way that is free from blame or manipulation, and that recognises the possible impact of your words.
Building Community
Developing relationships across different ages, genders, abilities, sexualities, race, faith, and ethnicity. It is about recognising and valuing diversity.
Encouraging Confidence:
Transitioning to secondary school can be a daunting process. Making new friends and moving away from old friends can be a difficult time, but we believe this chapter of your life can be a positive one. We provide you with the skills you need to take ownership of your new chapter and transition with confidence.
More About BEAM
We offer three types of BEAM programmes: a 6-week Online Transition Programme and BEAM Schools programmes designed for in-school facilitation. The Beautiful Empowered and Me programme provides a fun and challenging space where girls come together to connect, explore, and learn from one another. Through this experience, they are equipped with resources and navigation tools to enhance their confidence, self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and resilience, preparing them for future challenges and personal growth.
