Shannon Keegan ( pictured below) has experienced what it is like to benefit from life as both a mentee and mentor.

After years of gathering valuable work experience, Shannon felt it was time to give back and offer guidance to others.

As part of Bloom UK’s network Shannon was introduced to BelEve as a potential mentor for our Believe in Her Success Mentoring programme

Believe in Her Success is designed to empower young women aged 15 – 22 years olds by connecting them to female role models, who offer guidance, professional life experience, skills and knowledge about the world of work and careers opportunities.

After the application and interview process Shannon was matched with Olivia. From the very first meeting, Shannon was impressed by Olivia’s proactive nature and preparedness.

Together, they set out on an empowering mentoring journey that has led Olivia to secure her first post-graduate employment. And for Shannon her experience as a mentor has given her a sense of fulfilment and has enhanced her own self-confidence whilst helping her to reflect on her own career.
