Job Description

BelEve is on the lookout for a dedicated and dynamic Part-Time Community Manager to join our team. Based in London, this role is an exceptional opportunity for someone passionate about empowering and supporting young women and girls. The ideal candidate will live within commuting distance to Lewisham and be ready to make a significant impact in our community.

What’s Missing Today:

Our team currently lacks a professional dedicated solely to strategically building and managing our community presence while simultaneously spearheading the organization of educational and engaging events. We seek to fill this gap with a role specifically structured to not only elevate our community initiatives and event offerings but to also lead these events — providing a tangible impact on the lives of the young women we support.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee community activities, ensuring they align with our mission and values.
  • Lead communications on our community Whatsapp platform, engaging actively and empathetically with members.
  • Act as the Lead for all community events, attending whether in person or online, demonstrating leadership and setting the tone for productive and empowering engagements.
  • Work collaboratively with the Marketing Department to guarantee our community’s voices are heard within our campaigns and initiatives.
  • Curate and coordinate impactful community events that foster meaningful connections and growth.
  • Spearhead community collaborations and partnerships, broadening our impact and integrating diverse insights into our operations.
  • Develop and administer community feedback forms to gather insights and improve our engagement strategies.
  • Manage administrative tasks related to community management and event planning to ensure smooth operations.

Candidate Requirements

Requirements:

  • Demonstrates a profound passion for empowering young women and girls, with a strong belief in the power of education, mentorship, and community support.
  • Proven experience in community management, event planning, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of moderating both online and offline conversations with tact and compassion.
  • A strong understanding of marketing principles and their application to community building and engagement.
  • A passionate advocate for gender equality and the empowerment of young women and girls.
  • Must live within a reasonable commuting distance to Lewisham.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

If you are passionate about making a difference and possess the skills and experience we’re looking for, we’d love to hear from you. Join us at BelEve UK, where your work will directly contribute to empowering the lives of young women and girls.
