Outside of the Spice Girls, Destiny’s Child and Sugar Babes what does Girl Power mean to you?

We believe Girl Power is all about:

  1. Empowering girls to be strong, confident, and independent.
  1. Breaking down stereotypes and societal norms that hold girls back
  1. Providing them with the tools and support they need to succeed.

Whether it’s in the classroom, workplace, in relationships, or everyday life, girl power is about standing up for yourself and fighting for what you believe in.

Every girl has the power to make a difference, and it’s up to us to harness that power and use it to create a better world for ourselves and future generations.

BBC Children in Need believes every child across the UK should have the chance to thrive and be the best they can be and with their support, we have developed the Younger Chapter,

The Younger Chapter provides a safe space for girls and young women aged 13-18 to use their voices and flourish as they begin to tackle social action issues while confidently conveying their message to support their community through focus groups, plus much more.

The group of nine young women have created ‘Embracing Difference – a project based on acceptance and being yourself.

The three main goals they have for the campaign are:

  • Embrace our differences and everyone else’s
  • Learn to love/accept others
  • Creating confidence to encourage women to enter spaces they usually do not occupy

Through workshops and events, the group will create a content series which can be shared throughout the U.K. as helpful guides and resources. Nothing screams girl power more than this.

As part of Bel Eve’s summer of love workshops, the Younger Chapter are running a variety of events for 13-20 years old. From taking to Hyde Park on wheels to creative activities and inspirational chats about what embracing differences looks like for young women today.
