Hey, My name is Esther A; I have just recently finished my UCAS application and felt compelled to highlight the experiences black students have every year. In the future, I hope black students feel encouraged and supported in the UCAS process and know that they are just as good as anyone else.
Here are my 5 things I’m tired of doing/hearing as a black student

Working with UCAS to come up with a solution
After receiving so much traction from my Instagram post , I felt compelled to write to UCAS to express my experience of the application process as a BAME student and highlighted issues that I felt should be resolved in the future.
I am currently working with UCAS to try and improve the experience of BAME students. To get the most accurate results, I have created a survey for all students (also ex students) from all backgrounds can complete.
I would be extremely grateful if you could complete the survey by 19 June 2021
