Okay, let’s be honest girls, homework sucks. It’s time-consuming, boring and stops us from doing what we really what to do and that’s fun stuff with our friends, however in order to succeed at school, you’ll have to complete homework. So we’ve come up with five ways to get it done faster.

Leave your phone alone

Phone vibrating while you’re trying to focus on reading Shakespeare? Try turning it off and handing it to someone you trust like a parent to get it out of your sight. Tell them not to give your phone back until you’ve gotten your English homework done.

Don’t waste time

This might sound cheesy but every minute counts. You can review flashcards while eating breakfast, solve a few timetables before third period and then read a chapter of a book on the bus or train home.

Ask others for help

Don’t be afraid to ask for help from your teacher or even the person you sit next to in class. There’s always someone who’ll know how to approach that question you spent ages agonising over.

Be strategic

Deadlines are stressful but the best way to relieve that pressure is to breeze through the smaller assignments first so that you’ll have enough time to tackle the major and more important work.

Race against the clock

Are you slugging through worksheets for no reason other than boredom? Try setting a timer and aim to finish a chunk of your work before the time runs out. Watching the minutes tick away right in front of you might give you the motivation you need—and make your homework more exciting.
