I first discovered BelEve UK on Instagram and, inspired by their amazing work with young girls, I reached out to volunteer for their Summer of Love programme. Since then, my life and personal growth have improved beyond what I could have imagined. BelEve’s sisterhood has nurtured my talents and confidence through love, advice, guidance, and incredible opportunities. When I shared my dream of working in law, they connected me with their Civil Service mentorship programme and a solicitor from their partner firm, Simmons & Simmons, which ultimately helped me secure a role in the area of private client law.
Working alongside incredible women like Marsha, Rochelle, Chyloe, Imahra, and Taneisha as a youth facilitator in the Summer of Love programme has been a truly transformative experience. Not only did they build my confidence by giving me the chance to lead and see myself as a leader but allowed me to teach young girls about self-care and self-confidence, deepening my passion for empowering others. They’ve been more than mentors—they’ve become my older sisters, supporting me every step of the way.
I will forever be grateful for BelEve and their role they’ve played in my journey – the opportunities, growth, and lifelong friendships! Thank you for helping me believe in myself and inspiring me to give back to others. My advice to any young girl is to join this sisterhood—get involved, and you’ll see the same transformation in your life that I did!
