Our Summer initiatives are a highlight in BelEve’s yearly calendar, and this year was no exception!
Designed to promote personal growth and empowerment of young girls and women, our summer programme is an extension of our year round activity. This summer we focused on the importance of ‘love’ as a core value: what it means for girls and young women to love themselves, their community and embrace differences.. Read on to hear about a few of our favourite highlights!
What are Personal Growth and Empowerment Programs?
When young women feel confident in themselves they will use their voice more in daily life and think more positively about themselves. Our personal growth and empowerment sessions are a way of inspiring young women to unlock their potential and have their voices heard.
We’ve set out the programmes by age group. The Summer BEAM program, offered a safe, fun and creative space for young girls 8-11 years old to share their experiences and learn from each other. With the Leadership Academy, for ages 12-15 years old being instrumental in nurturing young minds to become future leaders.

Highlights from each Event and Program
- The BEAM program saw an impressive turnout, with girls from various backgrounds coming together to share their stories and experiences. The power of Sisterhood was clearly evident, with girls one another in their journeys.
- The Leadership Academy was another success. The young leaders showed great potential and enthusiasm, keen to take on the mantle of leadership in their communities.
- The Younger Chapter project offered tools and resources to build self-esteem and embrace their individuality.
